Institut Ramon Llull is a consortium comprising the Government of Catalonia, the Government of the Balearic Islands, and the Barcelona City Council. Its mission is the support and promotion of Catalan language and culture abroad, in all its forms and means of expression.

Maria Lladó, New Head of the Arts Department at Institut Ramon Llull

Maria Lladó Ribot (Palma, 1976) Graduate on Humanities studies, Performing Arts and Music Sciences Management. Lladó was the music delegate at the Balearic

Islands local Government during the period 2000-2004. She has also developed her professional experience in public institutional music policies focussed at programmes for international promotion of Catalan Culture and music advisor of music festivals as Mercat de Música Viva de Vic or Grec Festival. Since 2003, she has been coordinator of the music department at the Institut Ramon Llul, a public organisation dedicated to the international promotion of Catalan Culture.

The Board of Directors of the Institut Ramon Llull, held today, Wednesday 14 July, has appointed Maria Lladó as the new director of the Llull Arts Department.
